Nagi shrugs. "Near as I can figure, it's mostly a gourmet thing, but this is a popular romantic spot, too. LOLs can change your gender, make you grow cat ears, mess with your IQ or your age, all kinds of things. It can be fun. I'm telling you to be careful 'cause you don't want to have to explain a tail to your teammates." Nagi does not indulge in these things, aside from the occasional genderswap so he can visit places where Prodigy wouldn't be welcome.

"I have no urge to do any of those things."

Some of them are fun.

"I kinda figured. That's why I warned you." Duh.

::annoyed:: "Well, thank you. I was just saying."

::Schu smirks.::

The hostess approached right them to show them to the table. The table happens to be in a private room that overlooks a garden with a koi pond and blooming cherry trees. And other flowery things that Aya might know, but Nagi would just call plants. There's Japanese style seating, too.

::Aya and Schuldig sit at the table, although Schu mutters about his poor knees.::

"This is... very authentic. Is this kind of thing common here?"

"In some senses. You can find pretty much any type of cuisine done like you're in that place, and usually at several levels. There's a odango vendor that I half-think wandered in from Kyoto and decided to stay. There's also some noodle shops and stuff. Stuff that's this nice," Nagi waves at the view out the window, "Can be a little harder to find. Although there is that transplanted temple. It took the monks forever to notice that it had even moved, from what I hear."

Nagi checks the menu for new specials, but he's pretty much planning to have the hotpot.

"It's interesting. Maybe I should come around here some other time to see the sights." ::Aya is considering the teriyaki chicken with vegetables.::

Riiiight, Aya here enjoys science fiction and the like. This is actually up his alley. And he's making me want teriyaki chicken.

"I didn't know I had so much influence. I should take more advantage." ::small smile::

"The crab is good, too. I think they import it."

"It's worth seeing, though you might want a tour guide at first. There's a lot of weird shit and not all of it is labeled."

"Wouldn't they have to? Unless they've also imported an ocean...."

The Nexus is also peopled mostly by loud, outgoing exhibitionists. That might be a problem for you. ::But he's strangely proud of Aya for taking all of this so well. His Aya.::

"Salt-water streams would be only the tip of the weird iceburg around here, but imports aren't a big deal when you consider that travel can be instantanious."

"And if you aren't an exhibitionist, you sit back and watch the people who are. Or find more private places to chat with the people you want to talk to." Nagi sighs. "I still wish we'd get a Princess Leia in that gold bikiki. Every time I see one, she's in that commando stuff from the third movie."

"I see what you mean. I was just thinking that oceans would need some kind of gravitational-- Never mind."

::Aya sighs.:: "I know.

"If I were her, I wouldn't show up in a gold bikini either. She was forced into that outfit, after all."

"Yeah, but she totally could have escaped by finding a portal. She could even find clothes right after, but I want to see it in person! Even if it wouldn't beat blowing up a Death Star, it would be awesome." Nagi's geek mode is engaged. Oh dear.

::Ditto.:: "I suppose it's good to have ambitions, even if they involve gold bikinis. Wait, you blew up a Death Star?"

::Schu's looking at both of them like they're weird and he has nothing to do with it.::

"Yeah. I happened to get two Death Stars, so me 'n' Yohji did the TIE fighter run on one of them and he got to blast it, then we went back to the ground and I used my powers on the other one. And there was sex, 'cause, shit, we blew up Death Stars. It was a really good day."

"...certainly more exciting than my days. There's a Yohji here?" ::Schu hadn't mentioned anything about a Yohji. Or that there was a Yohji who had sexual relations with a young Nagi.::

Two Yohjis. ::Schu sounds extremely bored because he hopes Aya won't get caught on this topic. For some reason the kitten still pines for his Yohji.:: Both taken.

Nagi rolls his eyes. "One of them so taken, it's amazing he doesn't have pink shojo sparkles around him." Nagi doesn't consider his Yohji taken, but he does want his mom to get laid, so Nagi won't quibble over the point.

Oh, there's the waitress. And she looks human if you don't notice the webbing between he fingers. Nagi orders that hotpot and an appetizer of crab legs.

"Pink shojo sparkles? Does he still have his original personality?" ::Aya thinks of his Yohji, amnesiac, living in lobotomized marriaged bliss with his Asuka-lookalike nurse wife.::

So original it's a much older version. You'd be cradle-robbing with that one. Different times as well as different realities. ::Schuldig nods to Nagi in thanks for the support on the other Yohji's status.::

::Aya notices the webbing but says nothing, polite. He orders and then Schuldig does too. He's somewhat amused by Schuldig's crankiness on the topic of Yohjis. Is it out of wanting Aya?::

Nagi has to work to avoid saying that the crankiness is because Schu doesn't like Nagi's high-maitenance girlfriend.

After the waitress leaves, Nagi says, "The Yohjis aren't half as confusing as the Kens though. I seriously can't keep track of them."

::Damned right. That Yohji so doesn't deserve Nagi. Hell, that Yohji doesn't deserve to continue living.::

"There are a lot of them? That must be odd." ::Aya already isn't sure if time and space could really stand two Yohjis in one place, so how would a lot of Kens work out?::

Oh yeah, lots of them. Even I have trouble keeping all of them straight.

"I don't think all of them are straight. In fact, I think most of them aren't. One of them is a father though. Did I ever pass on that bit of gossip?"

"And also, twice the Yohjis mean twice the leopard print."

No, you didn't! Holding out on me isn't fair. And I don't think any Ken is totally straight, not after that thing with Kase.

"...I agree on Ken.

"Can any place stand that much leopard print?"

"Yeah, the one that... crap, how do I even specify between the lot of them? Right! The one that Ran almost killed. That biker chick had his kid."

"And no, it really can't. I think that's why they're rarely seen together. The space-time continuum couldn't take it."

Did that one go to Australia too? Because it amuses me to think of a Ken's kid being all 'G'day mate.'

"That would make sense. Good."

Pleased that Aya didn't ask who Ran is, Nagi chuckles. "Yeah. She's in Aussieland. I'm getting info since Ken's better off having his world think he's dead."
