Guilty Pleasures

Nagi beat Brad in the birthday celebration race again, yet Brad's always surprised. Despite being a smart guy, Brad never seems to understand that Nagi gets to me first because he doesn't wait in some effort to show how cool and dignified he is. It may sound weird to hear that in some ways Brad is more insecure than Nagi, but it's true. Farfarello remembered and celebrated me too. I had to tell them that I appreciated their drive to make each year bigger and better than the last but that they shouldn't kill themselves over it.

Aya and his sister did a little something for me too. Though she wasn't around for all the gift unwrapping.

I'm still amused over how I volunteered myself and just_a_murder for a bout of speed dating. I don't know if Aya got any lasting benefits out of it but just putting him in that situation was rewarding for me. ((Aya complained about it at dear_mun and was mistaken for another Aya by Nataku.)) Max did a kinda insulting poll about the speed dating afterwards. Hmph. The multiverse wouldn't be able to handle how gorgeous my children would be.

But Aya's new spirit of friendliness came out when he started a conversation with Fish about food, talked to Toshiko about how he uses or doesn't use foreknowledge, and discussed knowledge and power with Revan. Aya and I formally introduced ourselves to Fish when he asked the Nexus for introductions. Still upset over what happened to wireboundheart a while back, Aya asked the Nexus about people who could possess bodies.

I had a conversation with Cass, using lots of euphemisms, and a talk with Captain Hook. Delirium asked about favorite words and their flavors. Abe asked if it's okay to read other people's minds without their permission if you were confined and bored. Guess what I said. Hana asked what people's favorite appliances are. The Master considered some evil plans. I love him. The Lovely Miss Q looked for opinions on mental disorders and heroes, things I have a lot of experience with. Anson asked if having no one to depend on makes you stronger. I gave Penance advice for dealing with an emergency. A new Alphonse Elric showed up and asked about threesomes in a roundabout way. Ach, the cuteness.

I divulged my impossible dream of competing on Sasuke to Superman. Yuki wanted to talk about a new project of his. Blue Beetle asked if his tights made him look fat. Yeah, really. Baron Samedi appeared. A Nexus session of Spin the Bottle didn't turn out as badly as it could have. Could have been better, though.

((just_a_murder and wireboundheart are still dealing with the aftermath of Yotan getting pretty much exiled from his world, and things take a turn for the NSFW. Aya-chan and Ginta once again have dating mishaps.))

Brody and I talked about kindness and about why you shouldn't invite Morrissey to your birthday party.

Morpheus has been getting sweet justice. Farf's still... Godly. Sena went from being a kitty to being a catboi and asked the Nexus about the added weirdness of that. Another Crawford showed up in the Nexus, and he was as much of an ass as the rest of them. I didn't waste much time on this one. Pyro Ken showed up to burn things. Ran-chan's brother appeared in the Nexus, looking for her. Aya-chan showed up too.

((Goku and Nagi are talking, so War planning and recruitment continue, as does planning for the break-in at Nii's. Nagi went to feline_casanova's reality for more info. Sanzo was around for a bit. devilnordeath hears about people being drawn into the Yohji rescue effort and contacts Nagi about it.

Jonathan says he's doing better, which is cool. Kopi looked for advice. Hanatarou asked what you'll never get tired of, and I mentioned my fashion sense. Kaa asked if you could eat someone, who would it be. Tohji asked what your evil twin would be like, and I said mine would be boring. A new, hip, happening Robin has show up. Proteus asked for thoughts on monogamy. You can guess my answer. Greed also asked about monogamy, though in a more crass way. Liz asked what folks do when a fight leaves them semi- to totally naked. Nova's question brought Harper out. Lawr's finally legal age in some places. Tom Servo proposed to the whole Nexus. Mikey asked who your heroes and superheroes are.

Brody was out in the Nexus a lot, asking how to pitch a job to his parents, asking for fashion confirmation, asking for advice on split lips and Satanists, and apologizing for his speaking in tongues ((as first foretold in this dear_mun post)) and asking for advice on breaking news of the oncoming apocalypse to his parents.

I've been playing Viva Caligula online a bit. I dunno how Nagi gets into these games, because they're so arbitrary. Real life combat is so different. And who knew the old whores would be some of the most dangerous unarmored prey? The biddies gang up on you and kick. The crossbow is my favorite weapon of the four I've picked up so far. There's no microphone on Marilyn though, so I can't scream into my laptop for more rage/insanity power. Pity, that.

Heroes is back, so I'm watching downloads with Brad and Farf. Season two is not thrilling us. ( spoilers )

Farf continued asking his anonymous Nexus questions, one involving a story with monks, one that brought Tribbles into the Nexus, and another asking for volunteers. Yeah. I'm his ex, and he didn't think I'd figure it out? Anyway. Looks like Schwarz in my reality should maybe fear for their lives. I haven't decided whether to bring it up to them yet or not.

wireboundheart came into the Nexus super-angsty, which led to Aya-kun comforting him and Hisoka... fixing him. Hisoka asked for training help later. ((Aya comforting Yohji continued here and eventually turned NSFW. Hey, it's Yotan.)) Later, Aya-kun had an angsty answer to a Nexus question about having kids.

Alternates of folks I know are just popping up all over the place in the Nexus lately, and most of them are way too angsty for their own good.

July 4th was a birthday to many people as well as some American holiday. just_a_murder, sinofsurviving, and I all claim it as our birthday. I asked the Nexus for things I could do for/to/with Aya for his, and some of their answers were, well, kind of... heh. I may have to put the Master's idea into effect once Aya gets back from what Yohji's doing with/to him ((NSFW)). Aya also went off to see the other Aya. I also want to do a party for him, but the people he knows are seriously scattered across time and space lately.

Nagi also wished me a happy birthday and made me one of those big open-ended offers that leave one stumped. Anything I want: props, people, place, anything?

Aside from more time on my paid LJ account--shame, what is this "shame" you speak of?--what haven't I already given myself that I want? What do you do with endless possibilities? I always end up going to ridiculous mental places like wanting my own 24/7 soundtrack, as mentioned in I'm Gonna Git You, Sucka. Never mind the crap one on the anime. I'm convinced they found the anime's artists and musicians on the street and paid them in ramen. Or I want my own personal houseslaves for a while to take care of my house and clothes, feed me, bathe me, and take care of all my sensual needs. But I can't even listen to this stuff without laughing. I'll have to think about it more.

Nagi's certainly doing well for himself. Very well. I'm proud. ((NSFW)) Kanzeon can't say the same. ((Hakkai's really not doing well.))


Another Nightwing has arrived in the Nexus and he's asking the ladies for advice on his costume. Can one die of laughing or drooling? How about both simultaneously?

I'm a popular dinner guest these days, eating with Greed and with dream_departed and sinofsurviving. The dinner in my own reality with Nagi went well, even though Brad and Nagi did their alpha dog teeth-baring and metaphorical territorial pissing throughout. Brad passed on the information about that organization that wanted London Aya, and Nagi's people will be looking into them too. None of us wants a new Eszett-like organization to start to form.

I practiced some nearly forgotten art skills to help Nagi and tried to get a better feel for what the new Schuldig in the Nexus is about.

Gojyo figured out who kill_the_buddha is. No good deed goes unpunished. Oh, and hide_in_a_smile isn't a cute kitten anymore, so once the honeymoon period ends we should probably, unfortunately, expect the angst train to resume.


Watching these two guys trade insults is pretty amusing. Meanwhile, Aziraphale has fallen prey to one of the nastiest LOLs I've seen in a while.
