Guilty Pleasures

Nagi beat Brad in the birthday celebration race again, yet Brad's always surprised. Despite being a smart guy, Brad never seems to understand that Nagi gets to me first because he doesn't wait in some effort to show how cool and dignified he is. It may sound weird to hear that in some ways Brad is more insecure than Nagi, but it's true. Farfarello remembered and celebrated me too. I had to tell them that I appreciated their drive to make each year bigger and better than the last but that they shouldn't kill themselves over it.

Aya and his sister did a little something for me too. Though she wasn't around for all the gift unwrapping.

Rose couldn't see the purpose of paperwork. Captain John Hart wanted to know why airplane seats suck and everyone's favorite drink, asked for favorite activities to try (which started with us playing paintball and went into sex), and asked for sources of advice on social relationships. Gerald MacGregor asked if we had a type. Adam Smith asked for some good memories to corrupt. Jubilee wondered if power corrupts. A new Dawn Summers in the Nexus got a lot of responses.

I had some decent and rambling talks with Danica, once starting out about relationships and once starting out about wererats. I got Christmas baking from Brody, and we talked about what we do for holidays, though I couldn't help him with a problem he had a few days later. I had a brief exchange with the Kuchisake-onna about getting into the holiday spirit. Nagi and I exchanged Christmas gifts, and Nagi handed out gifts to other people too. Nagi continues having trouble with his client, Mamoru, and Kritiker.

New Year's Day resulted in a glitterbomb LOL. I had a nice talk about life with Dracula, a much shorter talk with a different vampire, and tried to help Anita Blake straighten out her sex life. I might have had better luck with the last one if she'd drawn up some flow charts for me. Lilith Carthwright drew out Harper by asking about superheroes. Kakyou couldn't help answering when a Fuuma showed up. I gave Crow Jane a 9 for jumping the shark. Sarah asked if 15 was too young to move out. Nagi couldn't avoid getting snippy with Jean-Claude and a young, blonde, beautiful werewolf. I can't blame him.

((The House celebrated survivorsguilt's birthday. wireboundheart and just_a_murder finished Yotan's big mission on Christmas Day. Aya got a chance to catch up with feline_casanova but was less successful talking with Sanzo, while Ran-chan was shocked as hell to see Sanzo alive. Nagi went to talk to feline_casanova's Aya.))


((At dear_mun, Schu talked to another Schuldig who's transitioning to a new community and retconning. just_a_murder had a brief conversation with an Aya he's spoken to before. The double Sunako Nakaharas were fun. A Brad Crawford showing up drew out several members of several different Schwarzes, while Crawford later mentioning wearing a ball gag in another post inevitably drew out my Schu.))

My Nagi saved his hash by treating me to a birthmonth spa day. I was exfoliated, oiled, and massaged. I got a facial, a mani-pedi, and deep conditioning for my hair. Then we had a sleepover. I still feel all tingly.

My Brad has one day left to fete me before I'll be forced to take vengeance on him.

I hadn't mentioned before, but Brad and I ended up watching the last Doctor Who episodes of the season last weekend, and ( spoilers )

I want to whack the Internet and the Nexus with a stick until something interesting comes out. Some people would probably tell me that I should go in and start something myself, but the only question I currently have is "Why the hell are all of you so boring lately?"


Brad said I should have bitchfights with my lovers more often because they seem to make me a more productive operative. I told him he could suck me. He didn't.
