::Schu agrees with Nagi, of course.::

"...I do but I don't? It's been a long time, and the more time that passes the easier it becomes to let things go on as they have."

Because she'll think you were stupid and tell you so.

"...that's some of it." ::It's complicated. Aya doesn't like to think of himself as a coward, but....::

"So start with a letter to her. Or call when you know she won't be answering the phone and leave a message. There's lotsa chickenshit ways to do it. 'Sides, she'll probably be hugging you when she calls you a complete moron, so will it really be that bad?"

"No, it's better to meet. A letter or a voice message might not get to her or might end up in the wrong hands." ::Her safety and well-being are paramount. Always.::

"Mkay. We can work that out." Nagi is pleased. He likes getting Fujimiyas to stop being stupid. It's one of his side hobbies.

::That could easily become a life's work.::

"...okay. Let's do it." ::Did he really just agree to that? From Schwarz? He's going insane. But the opportunity for good to come from it is too tantalizing to pass up.::

Nagi wonders in passing what time it is in Japan, but that might be pushing things a little too hard. Or would it. He ponders.

::Seeing that pondering, Aya kind of fears it. Schuldig just smirks and continues eating. He has no idea what the time is in Japan, but he's hardly the time to let people's sleeping get in the way of what he wants to do.::

Sure. Why not? It'll mean Aya won't have time to overthink things. "Schu, think you could find her right now and see if she could get away without causing a big fuss?" Nurses vanishing in the middle of their shifts would be bad and attention getting.

And they could go to an ice cream place maybe, since Aya just ate. Or that one bakery.... Some place with sugary goodies for sure.

"Now?" ::He hadn't expected it to be an immediate thing!::

It's better this way. You won't have time to talk yourself out of it. Be back soon! ::Schu PINpoints to Tokyo and casts his talent out to find her. Score. She's even nearing the end of her shift. A long one, though, so she's very tired. Still, nothing ventured, nothing gained.::

::He moves a little forward in time to be right at the end of her shift, walks into the hospital, and unerringly makes his way over to her. She's starting to look like an adult now.:: Hey there, Fujimiya-san.

"Hello. Can I help you?" ::He can feel her, tired, guiltily hoping not. She's also wondering why he seems weirdly familiar.::

::That's interesting. He'll have to examine that later.:: I think I can help you. Your brother would like to meet with you.

::That immediately puts some spark back into her.:: "Where? When? Is he okay?"

He's okay. Some people had him thinking it would be better and safer for you if he had no contact with you, but another friend and I managed to convince him recently that they were wrong and not looking out for your best interests.

::She's looking around.:: "Is he here?"

I'll take you to him.

"Let me just check myself out. It will only take a moment! Don't go anywhere!" ::As she dashes away, he's tempted to walk off a bit just because she said that but restrains himself. He doesn't want her to be pissed off before she even talks to her brother. She quickly returns.:: "Okay, where do we go?"

This will be a bit odd, but work with me. Close your eyes. ::She gives him a skeptical look so close to her brother's that it's eerie, then closes her eyes. Schu PINpoints them to the table at the restaurant.:: We're here. Open 'em.

::She does.:: "How could we be somewhere.... Ran! Oh, Ran!"

::Looking stunned himself, Aya gets up in a rush and stands in front of her, staring at her like she might be a mirage.::

Nagi just moves back out of the way and glances at schu with amusement. ::Should we ask the waier to bring another menu or the check?::

Are you hungry, Aya-chan?

::That briefly snaps her out of her trance.:: "What? Oh, no."

Check it is, Naggins.

"You, you look well. I'm glad," ::Aya says softly, awkwardly, still staring at her like she might not be real.::

::Aya-chan grabs him for a tight hug that lasts for maybe five minutes, then smacks him.:: "I worried! I thought you might be dead! For years! I hate you, you big jerk!" ::Then she grabs him in a tight hug again.::

::Aya looks pole-axed but hugs back, tightly.:: "I"m sorry. I thought it was for the best. For you. I love you...."

Nagi tries to keep his sniggering to a minimum. This is better than TV. Damn, but he's good!

::Yeah, yeah, you're a genius.::

::But Schu is smirking.::

::The Fujimiyas are still holding each other tightly and not saying much, though Aya-chan is kind of stroking her brother's back in a comforting way. They're such a weird pair. A few of the other people in the restaurant are staring at them, though not a lot, not in the Nexus.::

::Aya-chan murmurs,:: "I love you too. I never gave up on you. You can be so dumb though. Where have you been?"

"London."

"England? Where are we now?"

Hug some more, then I'll explain some things.

::Aya-chan's annoyed look contains quite a bit of her brother's kind of fire, but she actually listens to Schuldig and keeps hugging her brother. Smart girl.::

Nagi sees this as fairly typical Fujimiya behavior, but he's going to be distracted by handling the check so he might miss part of the show.

::There's a park about half a block away. Should we go there?:: That'll let Aya-chan see a bit more of the Nexus, which should help convince her about the weirdness of the place.

::Sounds like a good idea.::

Hey, kids, let's hug it out outside!

"All right," ::Aya answers, and his sister nods.::

Nagi leaves a really good tip in the table and off they go! The weather is really nice for walking and the street isn't all that crowded, but not all the people around look human.

::Both Fujimiyas look surprised and somewhat awed. Schuldig puts an even more blase face on.:: This is the Nexus. Anyone and anything can end up here. The whole "elsewhere" factor of it is what made your brother feel it would be safer to meet you here, Aya-chan.

"Is it really so dangerous?"

::Aya is holding her hand.:: "It could be. I have enemies and a dangerous life."

And a really dramatic way of talking about it.

"It is a life with a lot of drama."

I guess I can't object to that.

"I can. A lot is still an understatement." Seriously. Throwing his katana at a helicopter? Made of lulz.

::Aya has enough telepathic talent to detect some of the unsaid in that one and gives Nagi a dirty look.::

Self-inflicted drama in a lot of cases.

::Now it's Schu's turn to get the Glare of Doom.::

::Aya-chan nods.:: "That's just like him."

::Unable to death glare at his sister, Aya just sighs.::

Nagi laughs and leads them through the park to a gazebo that has some nice benches. Aya gets so pwned by his sister.

::Aya is well aware of it but can't find the will to resent it. He gave up his life for her, so giving up some of his dignity seems a small thing by comparison. There's no need for Naoe to find it funny though.::

It's hilarious, kitten. Admit it.

::Aya-chan looks at Schuldig.:: "Kitten? What are you to my brother?"

"A friend."

Hopefully more someday. I'm so smitten.

::This death glare should have slaughtered Schuldig.::

"And don't ask about me. I only just met your brother today." And then browbeat him into contacting his sister, but anyway!

::That's because Nagi is a genius.::

::Aya looks very huffy.:: "We may not even be friends if you keep toying with me, Schuldig."

"But he helped get us together again," ::Aya-chan says.::

::Schuldig is really getting to like the sister.::

"This isn't toying with you. This is correcting terminal stupidity." Nagi's annoyed. It was his idea! Why is Schu getting all the credit?
