I have to remember to see things and people as they are, not as I wish they are or they used to be. I'm aware that I've been particularly blind there on personal matters lately. I guess I'm just as human as anybody else is when it comes to people I care about, but it's past time for me to be more ruthless with myself.

I feel like I've been talking about my sorrows for months now. That's one of the things I'm kicking myself over. I'd rather like to bottle them up, like jam.

She's not in the mood herself. Snuggling and kissing is nice enough, for the moment. She pulls back from the kiss after a while and smiles softly at him. "I.. can't promise you that things will be alright. But I hope they will, Schuldig." A thumb lightly strokes his cheekbone, her eyes more open than usual.

She looks at him for a while, just touching his cheek. Then she blinks, her eyes closing just a bit longer than usual, and shifts to rest her head on his shoulder.

He'll die even sooner than the others, probably. Would blow his brains out before he got old and weak. It's such a shame.
