The Gift He'll Love

I didn't hit the next day candy sales as hard as usual--though I picked up some Peeps and Cadbury Creme Eggs--because friends sent me a shipment of the good, rich stuff: Lindt chocolate. Though they sent me some of the really unusual flavors. So far I've tried the Lindt Gefüllte Edelbitter-Chocolade mit dunkler Mousse Zitrone-Basilikum, and I really wish it tasted more of lemon and less of basil. I'm not kidding, folks: basil is the strongest flavor. (By contrast, Frey Suprême Citron & Poivre Dark Chocolate bar has a small bite of pepper to its lemony flavor.)

I still have the Lindt Gefüllte Edelbitter-Chocolade mit dunkler Mousse Blaubeer-Lavendel, Lindt Mango & Cayenne, Lindt Maracuja & Jalapeño, Lindt Excellence Earl Grey Tee, and Lindt Excellence Himbeer Intense to try.

Only the Germans.

We're adventurous! Breaking the barriers of flavor combinations!

I don't really have any right to judge, of course, what with the squid-flavoured ice cream in the shopping mall here.

...I'm afraid to ask what the texture on that is like.

It's a bit fishy!

::snerf::

I was imagining chewy and slimy, which is a big no for me. I only eat squid deep fried with a nice coating and dip.

I prefer that kind, too. No, it's just the flavour, actually. And soy flavour, which is pretty much disgusting.

Soy? Full of do not want for me.

If there's no soy in it, you can be pretty sure it's not a Japanese dish.

I like edamame. Otherwise, I just don't want to taste soy. If you hide it, flavor it, or fry it until the outside is crisp and the flavor changes a bit, I'm fine.

I'll take you out for a proper dinner with proper soy once.

Which is to say, I'm going to have Watanuki cook more than necessary and we'll eat the scraps together.

Everything taste better when it's made by a manslave!

This is the reason I love you so much ♥

Yay! Though I'm sure there are many reasons....

Naturally, but this is a public place.
