London Aya kept complaining that the training in hotel rooms made him feel like he was going out cheating on Ken, and Schuldig had been feeling antsy and reckless alone in his flat so he got a brilliant idea. Demanding that Aya put on a blindfold then driving them in crazy arcs and circles through London on the way to his apartment just made it more fun, especially when he could hear the low "Shi-ne" hum to Aya's increasingly annoyed thoughts. Aya had gotten pretty good at shielding, but Schuldig would always be more powerful and better and Schuldig had trained him besides.

Aya had started out pissy. As usual, he demanded a training session after Chloe and Ken had started picking at each other and pulling at him in a particularly vigorous fashion. To Schuldig's amusement, Aya seemed to use the training sessions almost as a kind of meditation to calm him down before he drew his katana on them.

Once the blindfold came off, Schu's apartment surprised Aya. "I thought you lived with Schwarz."

"I did. Now I don't. This is new."

"Is it supposed to look like an unfinished whorehouse?"

"How would you know what a whorehouse looks like?"

"Missions. As an assassin, not a whore, thank you." Aya looked for house slippers by the door.

"Just wear your shoes."

"You're a barbarian."

"I'm not totally unpacked yet."

"You're a barbarian who stole some poor goth girl's laptop."

"Didn't you notice the fading blue streaks in my hair? The laptop's mine."

"I wondered what happened to you."

"I was held by student anarchists for a few days."

"Do you have anything fresh in here?"

"I have you." Schuldig leered.

"Funny. I meant food."

"Fresh stuff goes bad too quickly."

While Aya was the barbarian blithely looking through Schuldig's kitchen and muttering as if he lived there. Maybe looking to make a meal for the both of them as they snarked and before they trained. As Schu sat at his kitchen table and watched Aya's pert ass, he couldn't help smiling. His apartment wasn't empty anymore.

It had been kind of pathetic to realize how much of his life had revolved around and fit into Brad's schedule. Now that he lived alone--for the first time in his life--he didn't have anything to react to. But here he had Aya, who was snarky and decorative and knew how to clean and cook. He could have an apartment minion! He had room enough here for two. Brad would lambaste him for his recklessness, but he couldn't care, not when the idea sparkled so much.

Schuldig stood up and sauntered over. "Aya."

Aya turned to face him. "Whatever it is, no."

Schuldig backed him up against the counter. "You haven't even heard what it is yet. I think you should live with me. They're driving you nuts over there. You're pretending to be something different for everyone, and they're using it to tear you apart. I know who you are. I really like who you are. If you taste my feelings you'll see it's true."

And Aya's annoyance had a heavy layer of arousal running through it, the taste of which made Schuldig remember some of the kisses they'd had and the way Aya kissed as if trying to devour his partner. He thought of having that on tap here. Aya didn't love him, so there wouldn't be that annoying monogamy trap sprung shut around his ankle, and he knew Aya could do sex without love because Aya had been doing it with Ken. Their lips and hips brushed, and Schuldig cupped the back of Aya's head with one of his hands, stroking through the soft auburn hair with his fingers.

"You know I can't do that." But Aya had a throaty, sex voice going.

Fuck yes. Wanted him, wanted so much. Wanted to touch him all over, taste him, fuck him. Wanted to watch him put that impractical but beautiful and alien half-mask on.

"Schwarz hasn't been your enemy in years. And Sir Richard Kryptonbrand has already been investigating us. Ken would be pissed at first, but if he really feels what he says he feels for you he'd want you to be happy. Say yes, Aya."

Aya pushed Schuldig away, and Schuldig let him. Looking dazed and angry, Aya said, "You won't convince me... like that, with that. Are we going to do lessons today or not?"

"Are we going to eat today or not?"

Aya glared. "Not. We work, and you don't touch me." But Schuldig could nearly feel the gears turning in Aya's head where the idea had been landed.
