Somebody who takes up the slack on your weaker spots, while your strong points fill in their problem areas. Sum being greater than its parts. That's ideal.
Somebody you can be clear with. You know each other's values and what's most important. You don't want someone where you'll be surprised by how they are in the field, so you have to be able to talk to this person and know this person will talk to you without things turning into a festival of passive-aggression.
