A Key to Recognizing My Schwarz or, Cui Bono?

As soon as I found out that anime and manga existed about us, of course I had to track it down and take a look, for my own use and because there are otaku in the Nexus who'd be making assumptions off me and mine from it. Considering its our frickin' lives, it's amazing how much the "writers" and "artists" got right, especially considering it had been created by Japanese people taking Weiß's side.

There is something I'd like to clear up about episode 25, "Mission 25: Ende des Weiss-- To the Knights." (And, yes, the Japanese abuse of German does kill me over and over again, thank you.) Okay, 2/3 of the Eszett elders have just been killed by Japanese florists wielding nearly medieval weaponry. It's demoralizing for them, to say the least. I weep bitter tears in my soul for them... then I snicker. Anyway, the surviving old fart comes running to good old Schwarz to save his wrinkled ass and lo! starts to get the idea that maybe this team of folks he and his had abused and trained might have hoodwinked him all along because we'd already swapped girls.

Some people would have just killed the old bastard and seen that as vengeance enough for years of exploitation, but Schwarz is not so easily satisfied. No. We took this elderly control freak who wanted to be immortal and rule the world with an iron fist under the flag of his Great Evil from Beyond and let him know that not only was he being betrayed and killed by his own underlings but that these underlings were a crazed bunch of anarchists.

Yes! Violence for its own sake, just because we're evil! Anarchy! We want total chaos all over the world! Why not, because with our power we can survive under any conditions, no matter how horrible!

(Yes, we are such misanthropists we even hate ourselves. Please.)

That anime series had crap art, so you can't really appreciate the look on the Elder's face. I'm sorry for you. It was priceless. If you ever needed an illustration of "Holy shit! They're mad! Mad, I tell you!" he could have been it. Then Farf skewered him, and the look on his face really turned priceless.

Then we had to gloat and monologue and "Muwahahhaha!" for Weiß too because the stars were aligned and the situation demanded it, and it was all so dramatic! Okay, Brad didn't foresee the armed redhead wearing the socks with the pumps. Who the hell would?

Right, back to the anarchy and total chaos. Brad and I don't even believe those are sustainable. Someone will always seize power and make rules. Always. Someone will always step up and force the terms. Anyone here see that first season episode of that American TV show Lost with the subplot about the bottles of water? Yeah, like that. I'm not saying it'll be fair and pretty leadership and law, but it'll exist. I don't care whether you think they're official or not. I mean, who decides what's official leadership? The citizen sheep? The local military? The local religion's leaders? The warlords? The neighboring powers? The UN? The US?

Bits of chaos? You see it daily. Total chaos? It won't happen.

As for pushing the world into senseless violence... who says the world needs a push? As the faux-cowboy faux-Texan in the White House will tell you, terrorists and evil are everywhere, and nowhere is really safe. You can be a goat herder in the middle of nowhere but still get access to explosives or a Kalashnikov. If Schwarz ever decided that we were getting too soft, that dependable electricity and running water were luxuries we don't need, and that our lives were too boring and we'd rather dodge bullets, bombs, and UEDs daily, there are several places in the world we could quickly relocate to.

We'll keep doing what we're doing and living how we're living. Brad Crawford always has a plan, whether he cares to let you in on it or not. It's his world, and he's just letting you live in it until he decides it's time for you to stop.

I can't speak for your Schwarz, but that's mine.

Yep, that all happens in episode 25 of Kapitel. The series has its moments of drama, jawdropping WTF, and hilarity. When I need a good laugh I'll go to one of the scenes involving the Omi family soap opera.

But I just don't say things like "I've seen your faces; I'll take your lives," or whatever the hell.

Of course, any version of me would have done a much better job.

Ditto for our Brad, and his language upgrade even deformed any English he used in the middle of his Japanese a little until I fixed it. "Meeeester Takatori," anyone?

...he used to stare at your ass. I know it annoyed him that my blazer covered mine. I would not leave my Nagi in the room alone with him. And getting the opportunity to beat the shit out of me with a golf club made him want me more.

Yeah, I knew what he wanted and had no intentions of being alone with him. Telepathically watching him die from behind Aya's eyes had been a gift to myself.

I hope you're not expecting something spectacular. I'm in really good shape, but I'm built more for speed and flexibility than to be stared at.

::Schu steps out of his shoes and takes off his shades and headband, then his blazer, belt, and socks, just letting things lie in a heap. He has two toe rings on. He makes a bit of a show of unbuttoning his shirt because he can't help himself, then lets it slide off. Once he unbuttons his fly, he lets his pants slide down, then steps out of them. At least he's not wearing a thong in an eye-melting color today, just a simple green. That's the last to come off, leaving him clad only in two toe rings, a simple chain necklace, some scars, his hair, and a smirk. He's hard-hard just because stripping for an audience inspires an instinctive response.::
