Once he finishes his piece he takes a drink, wipes his mouth, closes the box, sets it within the endless space of his mini fridge, then faces Mio expectantly, curious to hear what's on her mind..::

"He seems quite young to have started his own company." Due to his looks, Mio is convinced that Naoe-shacho is younger than her. Mio is also not mentioning that she is surprised Naoe-shacho hired her, considering she nearly got into a fight with him the first time they met.

Mio makes a noncommittal noise, then pauses slightly before asking her question.

"I am sorry to change the subject, but I have been wondering about something strange Naoe-shacho said to me last night. Would you know what he means when he said I had powers?"

Sure. I've noticed that you can project emotions. You may be able to do more with it if you develop better control.

Normal people generally can't hear it unless you're deliberately sending it at them. I presume you weren't doing it on purpose. Folks generally don't like to have other people's emotions pushed into them.

If Nagi told you it happened, it happened. He has some trained telepathy of his own. I also add my voice to the chorus of "Hell yes, it happened, honey." I've noticed it myself.

"What am I supposed to do about it then?" Mio does not take things that shake up her worldview particularly well. At least she's taking this better than her entry to the Nexus.

You should find someone to help you train it. I wouldn't be the best candidate; I'm not gentle enough with beginners.

Was he really busy? He runs a business and freelances on security issues. And tries to have a life. Give him some time.

You might do well to give him some time so you can find out. The kid has a lot on his plate. He's doing you a favor letting you know about. Some less scrupulous types would say nothing as you kept transmitting. There are people who would take advantage of knowing what you're feeling.

"All right, I will." It wasn't even like she even wanted to have the talk with Naoe-shacho, anyway. She was just annoyed that he didn't come talk to her today on principle.
